Daughter of Deacon Lee and Minister Carolyn Edwards, Evangelist Smith was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and attended Prayer & Faith Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Founding Pastor, Elder Paul F. Berry. As a child, she gave her life to Christ and was filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 14. Yielding to the Hand of God on her life, she accepted the call to ministry and delivered her trial sermon at the age of 19.
She received her Evangelist license in 2008 from the New Jersey First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of the late Mother Olive L. Brown and Bishop Martin L. Johnson. She was the Valedictorian of her graduating class. She also served the Jurisdiction as a State Adjutant. In 2012 the Lord saw fit to appoint her to serve in the George Miller Memorial District as Chairperson of the Women’s Department, where she worked diligently under the supervision of District Missionary Thomasena C. Steed. She is currently serving as District Missionary Designee under the leadership of Superintendent Earnell Steed Jr. with the approval of the Jurisdictional Leaders Bishop Martin L. Her desire is to be a vessel of honor that God can use to lead lost souls to Christ.
